Skólastarf gæti raskast á morgun

Aftakaveðri er spáð á landinu á morgun, þriðjudaginn 10. desember og benda skólastjórnendur foreldrum á að fylgjast vel með veðurspám og vera við viðbúin að þurfa að sækja börnin þegar skóla lýkur ef veðurspá gengur eftir.

Þegar veðurspár gefa til kynna að óveður sé í aðsigi á Suðurnesjum fylgjast Lögreglan og Almannavarnir gaumgæfilega með, hafa samstarf við skólana og gefa út viðvaranir til almennings, gerist þess þörf.

Mikilvægt er að foreldrar sjálfir fylgist með veðri og veðurspám og hagi sér í samræmi við aðstæður hverju sinni.

Foreldrar leggja sjálfir mat á hvort fylgja þarf barni í og úr skóla þótt engin tilkynning hafi borist frá yfirvöldum. Meti foreldrar aðstæður svo að ekki sé óhætt að börn þeirra sæki skóla þá skulu þeir tilkynna skólanum um það og lítur skólinn á slík tilvik sem eðlileg forföll.

Við slíkar aðstæður eru skólarnir opnir og þar er öruggt skjól fyrir börnin.

It is important to report this to the school and it is regarded as a normal absence. However, the school is always open and there is a safe place for the students.
